MK Electrical Group Limited Announces Innovative “BoilerWave” Microwave Boiler
A Game-Changer in the Fight Against Carbon Emissions
Seeks £5M Investment to Establish State-of-the-Art Production Facilities in Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes Electrical Group is proud to announce the launch of BoilerWave, the world’s first microwave boiler, set to revolutionize home heating by providing a sustainable, energy-efficient alternative to traditional gas boilers. This ground-breaking technology is poised to play a crucial role in the UK’s efforts to achieve net-zero carbon emissions, offering a viable solution to reduce the country’s dependence on gas boilers, a significant greenhouse gas source.

A Revolutionary Step Towards Net Zero

BoilerWave represents a major leap forward in the evolution of home heating. Unlike conventional gas boilers, which burn fossil fuels to generate heat, BoilerWave utilizes microwave technology to efficiently and safely heat water without emitting any carbon dioxide. This innovation comes at a critical time, as the UK faces increasing pressure to reduce its carbon footprint and transition to cleaner energy sources.

With 26 million gas boilers currently in operation across the UK, each releasing an average of 3.54 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent annually, the environmental impact is staggering. Collectively, these boilers contribute over 92 million tonnes of CO2 emissions every year, accounting for 14% of the UK’s overall greenhouse gas emissions.

The BoilerWave Advantage

BoilerWave is designed to provide the same level of comfort and reliability as traditional boilers but with a fraction of the environmental impact. By eliminating the need for combustion, BoilerWave offers several key advantages:

  • Zero Emissions: BoilerWave operates with zero direct emissions, making it an environmentally friendly alternative that significantly reduces household carbon footprints.
  • Energy Efficiency: The microwave technology used in BoilerWave ensures instantaneous, consistent heating, minimizing energy waste and reducing overall energy consumption.
  • Safety: Without the need for gas or open flames, BoilerWave offers enhanced safety features, making it a safer option for homeowners.
  • Compact Design: The sleek, space-saving design of BoilerWave makes it ideal for modern homes where space is at a premium.

Supporting the UK’s Green Transition

The introduction of BoilerWave is aligned with the UK Government’s ambitious plans to phase out gas boilers by 2035 as part of its broader strategy to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. By offering a viable, eco-friendly alternative to gas boilers, BoilerWave is set to play a pivotal role in accelerating the country’s transition to cleaner energy solutions.

“Our goal with BoilerWave is to provide a practical, sustainable solution that not only meets the heating needs of today’s homeowners but also supports the UK’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions,” said Gary McCauley, CEO of Milton Keynes Electrical Group. “By replacing just one gas boiler with BoilerWave, a household can prevent 3.54 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere each year. Imagine the impact if every home made the switch.”

Join the Heating Revolution

Milton Keynes Electrical Group invites homeowners, installers, builders, and policymakers to explore the benefits of BoilerWave and join the movement towards a greener, more sustainable future. As the world’s first microwave boiler, BoilerWave is not just a technological innovation – it’s a critical step forward in the global effort to combat climate change.

The company is launching a campaign to raise £5 million to build cutting-edge production facilities in Milton Keynes, aiming to bring this groundbreaking technology to market.
The inspiration behind BoilerWave is as compelling as the product itself. Gary conceived the idea in the most unexpected circumstances. Following a life-changing vehicle crash in 2016 that left him hospitalized with severe injuries, Gary found himself reflecting on his extensive 25-year career in the electric boiler industry. During his recovery, while lying in his hospital bed, the concept of using microwave technology to heat water in homes began to take shape.
“As I lay there, I was determined not to let my circumstances define me. Instead, I wanted to channel my experience and knowledge into something truly transformative,” said Gary McCauley. “The BoilerWave concept became my focus, and as soon as I was mobile again, I began working on the prototype.”
BoilerWave leverages advanced microwave technology to heat water instantly and efficiently, offering homeowners a more sustainable and energy-efficient alternative to traditional boilers. This innovation is poised to make a significant impact in reducing energy consumption and lowering carbon footprints across the UK and beyond.
To realize the full potential of BoilerWave, MK Electrical Group Limited is seeking £5 million in funding. These funds will be used to establish state-of-the-art production facilities in Milton Keynes, a hub of innovation and technology. The new facility will enable the company to scale production, meet anticipated demand, and continue to innovate in the home heating sector.
Investors and stakeholders are invited to join MK Electrical Group Limited in this exciting journey to transform the heating industry. The BoilerWave represents not just a new product but a new era of home heating, driven by Gary McCauley’s vision, resilience, and unparalleled expertise.
